Steve Jobs didn’t let his kids use an iPad at home for fear that they would become technology addicts. According to a leading child psychologist it’s a whole lot more serious than that.

As a health club, it is our charge to continuously work for the health and wellbeing of our members and community. To that goal, we will be complying with the Harris County order pertaining to face mask coverings. All participants at MAC will be required to wear a face mask or covering while entering or leaving the facilities and in all areas when not exercising, effective immediately. In the aquatic area, since it has ample air circulation as an open air building, face masks will be required entering and leaving, and any time you are within 6 feet of a non-family member.
If you do not have a face mask, disposable masks are available for $1 and cloth for $7 at the front desk.
Dear MAC Members,
As MAC is allowed to reopen more services, we are excited to announce the following services returning!
- Showers are now open in both locker rooms and poolside. Please remember to practice social spacing. Face masks should still be worn in the locker areas. The saunas and jacuzzi will remain closed with reopening yet to be determined.
- Aquatic Center - Dressing rooms can be used by up to two people at one time. Lap lane reservations can now be made for back-to-back periods for anyone needing up to 1 hour 45 minutes swim time, beginning Monday. Please continue to reserve lanes thru the front desk, up to 3 days in advance.
Group Exercise. Group Exercise classes are starting to come back on site. This will be a limited schedule of group classes that will include Spinning, Pilates, HIIT, Water Exercise, GoodLife, Zumba and more. Class sizes will be limited for spacing and occupancy restrictions.
- Reservations can be made with an ONLINE App up to 3 days in advance.
- Outdoor and Zoom classes will continue. Please watch emails and FaceBook posts for times.
- If you have made a reservation on the MINDBODY App for a group class, and are unable to attend, please remove your reservation. Class size is limited to provide safe distancing and many classes are in high demand.
THE MAC KID ZONE IS NOT RETURNING YET. After much consideration and evaluating the recommended opening procedures, we have determined that the concern for exposure is too great at this time. Enforcing a social spacing with young children will be very difficult. The recently reported rise in cases gives sufficient reason to pause andre-evaluate each week until risks subside. MAC for Women will be open Monday thru Saturday, 8 am to 1 pm.
The club is taking gradual and cautious steps in bringing these services back to achieve spacing, time for sanitization, and responsible resource allocation. As capacity limits are lifted and attendance indicates, services will continue to be expanded.
Please feel free to call our front desk with any additional questions or lap lane reservations, 281-497-7570.
Thank you very much!
